As a response to the decentral structure of GEA Westfalia Separator GmbH, the strategic procurement function has been set up as a point of co-ordination for the operative purchasing departments of the autonomous market companies.

Strategic procurement is the link between the
co-ordinating procurement organisations within GEA Group and GEA Supply Management.

In addition to bundling universal requirements, the main task is the strategic alignment to the continually changing situation in the procurement market as well as in the optimisation of procurement processes.

It is responsible for the moderation of interdisciplinary material group teams with the aim of continual cost reduction.
